Mission: Our mission is to build healthy Native economies in Arizona by developing partnerships, providing leadership and leveraging resources to support financial education and asset building strategies. The Arizona Native Assets Coalition (ANAC) is collaborative partnership of members from Arizona tribes, Native non-profit organizations, state government agencies and other organizations working to promote the development of asset building, financial education programs and policy for Arizona Native peoples. Under the guidance and direction of First Nations Development Institute, the Arizona Native Assets Coalition (ANAC) was developed out of a series of meetings held in Arizona over the course of the last 4 years. As a statewide coalition, the ANAC advocates community development and economic sustainability; combats impoverished conditions through community education to create healthy financial habits (and models); and encourages tribal members to pursue homeownership, entrepreneurship, higher education and creation of personal wealth. This statewide collaborative approach to supporting the growth of asset building programs will be delivered by advancing policy to promote financial stability in tribal communities; promoting the mission, goals and objectives of the ANAC; identifying and leveraging resources to implement asset building programs and; educating tribal leaders and community members on the benefits of asset building programs. ANAC's success is based on the active participation and satisfaction of our members.
